Following its smart home-focused launch earlier in the month, Apple is preparing to host yet another major hardware event soon. The company has officially sent out invitations for a second product launch scheduled for October 28th at 1:00 PM ET in Los Angeles, California.
According to reports from Bloomberg, the upcoming event is set to feature brand-new Mac computers and a refreshed iPad Mini. The marquee announcement is widely anticipated to be a redesigned MacBook Pro equipped with an OLED touchscreen, a lighter chassis, and an iPhone-like Dynamic Island feature.

In addition to the flagship laptop, Apple plans to introduce a 14-inch MacBook Pro and a new iMac powered by the M6 chip, which was recently debuted alongside the Mac Mini. The updated iPad Mini is also slated to finally transition to an OLED display while relocating its selfie camera to the landscape edge for better video calls.
Hosting multiple hardware events within the span of a few weeks allows Apple to give distinct product categories their own spotlight. Separating the smart home announcements from professional-grade computing hardware ensures focused media attention, while the rollout of M6 processors and OLED panels signals a major technological transition across Apple's lineup.
