- Hedley Studios has created an 80%-scale electric miniature version of the iconic 1950s Porsche 550 Spyder.
- It runs on a 48-volt electric system, delivering 11 horsepower standard or 21 horsepower with the optional RS Package.
- Each vehicle is handcrafted in Bicester, England, with production strictly limited to 250 examples.
- Measuring just 2.9 meters long, it seats up to two passengers and achieves a top speed of 80 km/h.
Manufacturer Hedley Studios has transformed a legendary 1950s motorsport icon into a compact, fully electric two-seater. Working in collaboration with Porsche, the team gained access to corporate archives to accurately replicate the vehicle's historic proportions and distinctive silhouettes.
Named the Porsche 550 J, this miniature creation is built at roughly 80 percent of the original race car's size. The vehicle measures 2.9 meters, or 9.5 feet, in length, featuring recognizable round headlights, sculpted wheel arches, and the characteristic twin ventilation grilles on the rear bodywork.

The open cockpit is kept wonderfully spare, housing a cream-colored steering wheel ahead of a compact dashboard with circular gauges, alongside modern drivetrain technology. The vehicle is strictly intended as a collector's item and is not permitted for public road driving.
Beneath the vintage exterior, the Porsche 550 J is powered by a 48-volt electrical system generating roughly 8 kW or 11 horsepower in standard form. An optional RS Package doubles that output to 16 kW or approximately 21 horsepower, allowing the miniature racer to reach a top speed of around 80 km/h.
Recreating classic sports cars in scaled-down electric formats has become a sophisticated niche for automotive collectors. Collaborating directly with the original manufacturer allows boutique builders to maintain historical accuracy while offering zero-emission driving experiences suitable for private estates and closed tracks.
Every single car is hand-built at Hedley Studios in Bicester, England. Customers can choose from classic silver finishes, heritage-inspired racing colors with white competition numbers, or utilize a bespoke customization program for tailored designs.
