On July 31, 2026, at 3:20 PM at Government House, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul addressed reporters regarding the bureaucratic reshuffle to replace retiring officials and revamp the Ministry of the Interior. He stated that the primary issue faced by the ministry had been local examination fraud, which originated from individuals rather than the operational system itself.
Anutin emphasized that since the wrongdoing was caused by specific individuals, they had to be dealt with accordingly. He confirmed that authorities have issued arrest warrants, summonses, filed criminal charges, established disciplinary committees, and transferred involved personnel away to strip them of administrative authority. Furthermore, the cancellation of fraudulent exam results has now been completely finalized.
