Major telecommunications provider T-Mobile has announced a new lineup of mobile plans called T-Mix, designed to bundle cellular service with subscriptions to popular entertainment and streaming platforms. The details of the new offerings were initially reported by Fierce Network and written by tech journalist Emma Roth.
The new plans allow customers to interchange their benefit selections, referred to as Picks, among top entertainment services such as Netflix, YouTube Premium, Apple TV, gaming subscriptions like Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and device promotions. The structure of each tier varies across the lineup:
- Standard: Starts at $55 per month for one line with autopay, including one Pick that can be changed up to four times a year without altering the plan cost. It also features up to 50GB of premium data, 480p video streaming, unlimited 3G hotspot connectivity, and unlimited 2G data in Canada and Mexico.
- More: Starts at $75 per month for one line, offering two Picks per line and unlimited data. It upgrades video streaming to 4K UHD, includes up to 60GB of high-speed hotspot data, and provides up to 15GB of high-speed data in Canada and Mexico.
- Loaded: The highest-tier plan starting at $95 per month for one line, providing up to three Picks per line for the first three lines with a total cap of 11 perks. It includes 4K UHD streaming, up to 250GB of high-speed hotspot data, and up to 30GB of high-speed data in Canada and Mexico.
In addition to selecting streaming entertainment benefits, CNET notes that subscribers can also trade their Picks for discounts on a brand-new smartphone, providing extra flexibility for consumers looking to pair device upgrades with their monthly service plans.

Regarding the rules for altering perks, T-Mobile states via Fierce Network that customers can switch out their benefits every 90 days. However, the company notes that the frequency depends heavily on the specific benefit chosen, stating that some options allow switching at any time while others require holding the Pick for a quarter or longer, with potential fees for changes outside the allowed window. T-Mobile also provides an annual selection period allowing users to reset all of their perks entirely.
T-Mobile's introduction of the T-Mix plans highlights an ongoing industry strategy in the US telecom market to bundle entertainment services as a retention tool. Allowing consumers to dynamically swap streaming perks addresses the common pain point of subscription fatigue, giving users the freedom to adapt their perks as their media consumption habits change throughout the year.
