SCB 10X, the disruptive technology investment arm of SCBX Group, has announced its investment in Tasklet, an AI agent platform designed to automate complex business workflows and allow organizations to delegate operational tasks directly to AI agents. The startup successfully secured 12.8 million US dollars in its latest funding round.
The recent financing round attracted participation from prominent investors and venture capital firms, including Union Square Ventures, 359 Capital, Uncorrelated, and Robinhood Ventures, alongside individual investors such as Rakesh Agrawal, Patrick, and John Collison, as well as retail investors.

Tasklet aims to help enterprises transition from using AI merely as a conversational assistant to deploying AI as autonomous agents capable of executing real operational tasks. Users can define workflows using natural language, allowing AI agents to connect directly with corporate applications, data sources, and internal tools to execute processes automatically.
The platform was established by Andrew Lee and Jonny Dimond, building upon their extensive experience in developing Shortwave, an AI-powered email platform. Notably, Andrew Lee was also a co-founder of Firebase, which was acquired by Google in 2014. Their shared vision centers on the belief that AI agents should handle continuous, long-term responsibilities within business systems rather than just isolated tasks.
“We believe that the next step for enterprise AI is not just helping people work faster, but enabling organizations to delegate actual work and responsibility to AI agents.”

Technically, Tasklet agents are engineered for continuous operation, capable of connecting to enterprise tools, running on schedules or event triggers, retaining context through memory systems, and executing tasks across applications and web browsers. For enterprise deployment, the platform includes internal controls, permission management, and robust security frameworks.
SCB 10X's strategic investment in Tasklet highlights a broader industry push toward deep tech solutions that automate entire operational pipelines rather than simple prompt-response interactions. As enterprises increasingly seek efficiency, the ability of AI agents to securely navigate corporate software and execute multi-step processes marks a significant evolution in workplace productivity tools.
