Months after unveiling the Predator Atlas 8 gaming handheld, Acer has officially announced its pricing and release schedule for the United States. This marks the first time that an Acer handheld gaming device under the Predator or Nitro series receives an official US launch.
The device will debut with its more powerful variant announced back in May—the Intel Arc G3 Extreme model. It will be available exclusively at Best Buy starting on November 1st, carrying a price tag of $1,299.99.

Under the hood, the Atlas 8 is packed with Arc B390 graphics featuring 12 Xe3 GPU cores, paired with 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM. The device boasts an 8-inch display running at 120Hz, alongside dual-mode triggers, TMR joysticks, and versatile support for both handheld use and docked setups.
Running on Windows 11, the handheld fully supports Xbox Game Pass, ensuring users have access to a vast catalog of games right out of the box. Its pricing aligns closely with competing devices like the Xbox Ally X20.
Acer's decision to launch the high-end Predator Atlas 8 in the US highlights the company's aggressive push into the booming handheld gaming PC market, where it competes directly against established players. Leveraging Intel Arc graphics alongside Windows 11 and Xbox integration positions it as a strong contender for PC gamers seeking portable performance.
Demand for the device appears strong as preorders launched by Best Buy last week have already sold out. Acer confirmed that online ordering will reopen on November 1st alongside the in-store release.
