Arctic Fox Technologies has unveiled a new multifunction peripheral called the Super Mouse, which replaces traditional customizable shortcut buttons scattered across the body with a compact touchscreen positioned right beneath the palm. While the boxy chassis may not prioritize ergonomic comfort, the device is designed to consolidate multiple desk peripherals such as a trackpad, macro pad, or streaming controller into a single unit.

The standout hardware feature is its 3.1-inch, 720 x 720 touchscreen situated centrally between standard mouse buttons, a scroll wheel, and two customizable hyper keys. The display's interface changes contextually based on the active application. For instance, working within Adobe Premiere will bring up video editing and playback shortcuts directly onto the mouse surface, while custom workflows can be tailored using the company's Flow desktop app.
Additional features built into the touchscreen interface include Google Calendar meeting reminders, local voice-to-text processing, multiple user profiles, focus timers, and productivity tracking. Furthermore, an integrated gyroscope allows users to control slideshows or scrub through video timelines simply by moving the mouse around physically.
Integrating a touchscreen directly into a computer mouse represents a novel approach to streamlining desktop peripherals by centralizing macro commands and application shortcuts into a primary input device. Although the lack of wireless connectivity and the unconventional boxy geometry present trade-offs, the concept highlights ongoing efforts to maximize productivity and streamline multi-app workflows from the palm of the hand.
The Super Mouse is currently available for pre-order through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign at a discounted price of $199, compared to the planned $249 full retail price. Delivery is estimated to commence in February 2027, though backers should account for potential fulfillment delays typical of crowdfunding campaigns.
