On November 1, 2026, Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsing, party-list MP and leader of the Prachachat Party, alongside his role as former Minister of Justice, traveled to Narathiwat province to deliver a keynote address at an academic seminar. The event drew community leaders, alumni, and local residents at the Dawud Conference Room, Attarkiah Islamiah School, Mueang Narathiwat District.
The seminar was held under the theme "AI and the Development of Private Islamic Religious Schools in the Three Southern Border Provinces." During his address, Pol. Col. Thawee highlighted strategies for integrating artificial intelligence to drive educational development and utilize technology as an effective tool to detect and combat corruption in Thai society.
Integrating AI to investigate corruption issues, such as local government exam fraud and senate selection collusion, highlights the adoption of GovTech solutions to enhance transparency and accountability, which remains a crucial challenge for public sector reform in Thailand.
The Prachachat Party leader emphasized that artificial intelligence in educational institutions must act strictly as an intelligent assistant to teachers. It aims to reduce workloads and improve educational efficiency, but it can never replace human educators, as the connection between teachers and students remains the heart of education.
