On November 1, 2069, Ms. Sasinan Thamnithinan, a Bangkok Member of Parliament for the People's Party, strongly condemned the physical assault on Mr. Veera Saengthong, leader of the Bright Future migrant worker group. The incident took place in front of the United Nations (UN) headquarters while the group was holding a demonstration demanding the Thai government abolish the Myanmar migrant nationality verification centers (CI centers).
The People's Party MP stated that such violent incidents should never occur in a society governed by the rule of law and democracy. Regardless of whether individuals agree or disagree with the protesters' demands, and regardless of whether the victim is Thai or a migrant worker, every human being possesses fundamental rights and bodily integrity that must be protected equally under the law without any form of discrimination.

Ms. Sasinan further noted that if any party believes the protest or its demands raise legal concerns, they should address the issues through lawful and fair channels rather than resorting to physical violence on public streets. She strongly urged police officers and security agencies responsible for the area to urgently investigate and handle the case impartially.
Demonstrations outside the United Nations headquarters in Bangkok frequently serve as a platform for migrant workers and civil society groups to voice their concerns. Ensuring the safety of all demonstrators, regardless of nationality, serves as a crucial benchmark for the state's law enforcement standards and commitment to human rights under international obligations.
Finally, Ms. Sasinan reiterated the necessity for state authorities to demonstrate decisiveness in enforcing the law to prevent the normalization of violence as a means to resolve social conflicts.
