On November 1, 2026, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Watcharapol Khaokham conducted an on-site inspection to review the preparations and venue readiness for the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026, ahead of the official grand opening ceremony set for November 2.
During the initial preview day, the event drew an overwhelming number of both domestic and international visitors. The high turnout resulted in heavy traffic congestion right at the main entrance, prompting the Deputy Minister to personally intervene and address logistical bottlenecks.

To cope with the continuous surge of visitors, Watcharapol coordinated directly with Pol. Col. Pattanawong Chanthaphon, Superintendent of Mueang Udon Thani Police Station, and Pol. Lt. Col. Chainarong Khanthasima, Deputy Superintendent of Traffic, to establish comprehensive traffic management and optimized parking solutions.
"Focus on security, traffic flow, parking zones, and increasing the number of trams to support the large volume of tourists."

In addition to safety and traffic protocols, organizers have scaled up operations by deploying additional trams within the venue grounds to ensure seamless internal mobility for visitors. The preparations lead up to the scheduled arrival of Anutin Charnvirakul, who will officially preside over the opening ceremony.
The Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026 stands as a major international event expected to significantly boost tourism and economic growth in Thailand's northeastern region. Efficient crowd management and infrastructure readiness remain vital elements in delivering a world-class visitor experience.
