At the World Matchplay darts tournament in Blackpool, defending champion and world number one Luke Littler continued his impressive title defense, storming into the semifinals with a decisive 16-7 victory over Josh Rock.
In the early stages of the match, Rock kept the pressure on the world number one, trading breaks of serve until the score was tied at 5-5. However, 19-year-old rising star Littler then shifted into high gear, winning five consecutive legs to shut down any hopes of a comeback and secure his spot in the last four.
