Ukrainian overnight drone strikes hit two warehouses operated by Wildberries, often dubbed the "Russian Amazon," with another site linked to the online retailer also damaged near Moscow. Ukraine has targeted facilities operated by the company in recent weeks, alleging that the depots supply the Russian military, a claim that Moscow denies.
Local officials reported that at least five people were killed and 10 more were injured at an industrial site about 69km (43 miles) south of the Kremlin, though they did not explicitly confirm if it was run by Wildberries. Meanwhile, Russia's defence ministry stated that it had successfully intercepted and destroyed 320 drones overnight.
Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyov stated on Telegram that a warehouse caught fire at an industrial site in Chekhov on the outskirts of Moscow, while an electrical substation and an administration building were also damaged. He noted that seven of the 10 injured were in a moderate condition, with one in serious condition

Targeting major logistics hubs and e-commerce infrastructure like Wildberries highlights a tactical shift in disrupting supply chains that could indirectly support military logistics. While these are commercial entities, their vast distribution networks make them strategic targets in the ongoing conflict. Conversely, retaliatory strikes on Ukrainian population centers such as Mykolaiv and Sumy continue to exact a heavy toll on civilian lives, demonstrating the devastating symmetry of the attritional warfare.
Simultaneously, Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported that Russian strikes across Ukrainian cities killed an 89-year-old woman and two girls aged two and 12 in Mykolaiv, while another woman and two girls aged five and 10 were killed in a residential area strike in Sumy. Both sides continue to deny deliberately targeting civilians as the conflict exacts a mounting human cost.
