At 6:00 PM on August 9, 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by his wife Thanonnan Charnvirakul, presided over the success announcement ceremony for the 74-day, 74-million-calorie fitness campaign at Supachalasai Stadium in Pathum Wan district, Bangkok. The initiative was held to honor His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of his 74th birthday anniversary on July 28, 2026. Participants successfully logged a staggering 153 million burned calories through the Kao Tha Jai platform, far exceeding the initial target.
The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including Minister of Public Health Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn (Piphat Ratchakitprakarn noted as Phatthana Phromphat in text), Permanent Secretary for Public Health Dr. Somruk Jidsaman, and Permanent Secretary for Interior Arjet Somthirat (Arsith Samphanrat), alongside Ministry of Public Health executives and members of the public. In his opening remarks, Anutin stated that the project embodies the royal aspirations and missions of His Majesty the King, who serves as a role model in physical fitness, discipline, and unity, serving as a solid foundation for sustainable national development. He emphasized that the government treats proactive healthcare as a core pillar of social stability and long-term economic efficiency.
"A healthy society cannot be built without public cooperation, which is why we must provide public policies and a supportive environment."

The Prime Minister further explained that the administration is committed to developing urban and community infrastructure to be safe and fitness-friendly, featuring secure sidewalks, bike lanes, public parks, and neighborhood activity spaces accessible to all age groups. He also praised the Department of Health, the Ministry of Public Health, and all partner networks for driving the campaign to fruition.
The Kao Tha Jai platform represents Thailand's ongoing shift toward digital health mobilization, leveraging gamification and digital tracking to encourage active lifestyles. By coupling this initiative with urban planning improvements such as pedestrian walkways and parks, the campaign attempts to address public health through environmental modifications rather than temporary encouragement alone.
To cap off the event, the Prime Minister and his wife joined participants in an energetic aerobic dance session, burning calories in a fun environment that inspired nationwide health awareness.
