Nok Usanee Surprises Muey Nithitra with a Proposal After 20 Years Together

Nok Usanee opened up about the most exciting moment of her life after surprising Muey Nithitra by getting down on one knee to propose in Tokyo, Japan. Admitting she is normally very particular and dislikes surprises due to fear of unwanted rings, Nok wanted Muey—who has always been the giver and made many sacrifices—to experience being the receiver of such a special moment. Their bond dates back to when they first met and connected in 2005.

The proposal journey was far from smooth. Nok originally planned a romantic trip to a flower field in Georgia, but geopolitical unrest forced a cancellation. A backup plan to visit Khao Yai fell through due to tight work schedules. Fortunately, an opportunity arose when an airline invited them on an inaugural flight to Tokyo, leaving Nok with just four days to frantically source a ring of the exact right size and understated design before flying out.

Muey Nithitra described the shocking proposal moment, recalling that she was distracted by fireworks and feeling hungry when she suddenly turned around to find Nok on one knee. Overwhelmed with emotion, Muey joked that she didn't know what to do and wanted to jump off a bridge from shyness. Nok added that the actual location in Tokyo was chaotic with millions of attendees and security guards rushing the crowd, forcing them to walk a kilometer before finding a quiet spot and asking a passing foreign tourist to record the special moment.
