Former Thai MP Allegedly Kills Official and Confesses on YouTube

A shocking shooting took place in the southern province of Nonthaburi, Thailand, where former Member of Parliament Chalong Reawraeng allegedly shot Thongchai Yenprasert, a local official and former police officer, right outside his office. Thongchai, who sustained a gunshot wound to the neck, later passed away at the hospital, while his driver suffered injuries to his arm and hand.

What made the incident draw massive attention was the suspect's direct phone call to political commentator Anchalee Paireerak while she was hosting a YouTube livestream. Viewers watched as the host reacted in absolute shock to the caller on the other end, who informed her of the fatal shooting he had just committed.

"Former Nonthaburi MP Chalong Reawraeng called political commentator Anchalee Paireerak, who was livestreaming on YouTube at the time, to confess to the incident."

Following his arrest, Chalong was permitted to hold a press conference at a local police station, where he attempted to provide his account of the events while smoking a cigarette. He stated that he had approached Thongchai to talk due to a personal dispute before following him toward his car, where the shooting occurred. Thongchai served as the president of the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organisation (PAO).
