Bandit9 Unveils 2026 Ducati 821, Blending Hand-Brushed Aluminum and Carbon Fiber

Saigon-based motorcycle design studio Bandit9, founded by Daryl Villanueva, has made waves once again by revealing a new motorcycle built upon the Ducati 821. The project focuses on material experimentation, surface finishing, and sculptural forms that reflect the relationship between materials and real-world utility. The 2026 version features entirely elevated details and is strictly limited to a production run of 9 units to maintain the exclusivity of the creation process.

As for the powertrain, it retains the proven foundation of the 821cc Ducati Testastretta L-Twin engine, which churns out 110 horsepower and 65.8 lb-ft of torque, capable of sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.3 seconds. Additionally, the bike is equipped with Brembo monobloc brakes and Sachs suspension at both the front and rear to ensure that riding performance matches the exceptional exterior design.

The most striking highlight of this motorcycle lies in its exterior bodywork, where Bandit9 has chosen to combine mirror-polished aluminum with carbon fiber. This creates a two-tone element where the transitions between materials are designed to directly follow the geometric lines of the bike, rather than relying on standard surface graphics. These seams help define the boundaries of each body panel and further accentuate the overall dark silhouette.
