- GuliKit announces the ES Max wireless controller, available now for $49.99.
- Upgraded with new TMR thumbsticks that measure magnet rotation angle for better stability.
- Broad compatibility with Nintendo Switch, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Steam.
- Packed with rear remappable buttons, swappable caps, and a new mobile configuration app.
Accessory maker GuliKit has officially introduced its newest wireless controller, the GuliKit ES Max, building upon the improved anti-drift tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) thumbsticks first seen in its budget-friendly ES Pro model released nearly a year ago. The new controller aims to tackle the notorious stick drift issues plaguing traditional gamepads while offering advanced features.
Retailing at $49.99, the GuliKit ES Max carries a higher price tag than last year's $29.99 ES Pro, yet it remains significantly more affordable than Nintendo's official Switch 2 Pro Controller while delivering expanded functionality.
The TMR thumbsticks inside the ES Max do not completely reinvent the underlying technology, but rather measure stick movement through a refined approach. Traditional TMR technology relies on sensors to track changes in distance between a stationary sensor and a moving magnet.

Instead of measuring changes in magnetic field strength, the new TMR implementation uses its sensor to measure the rotational angle of a nearby magnet as it moves alongside the stick. This technique ensures that the strength of the magnetic field never degrades, yielding much more accurate measurements, enhanced stability, and quicker response times.
TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) technology represents a major shift away from traditional resistive potentiometers prone to wear and tear. By tracking rotational angles rather than magnetic flux distance, manufacturers can drastically improve durability and reliability over years of intensive gaming.
Beyond the enhanced thumbsticks, the ES Max supports all versions of the Nintendo Switch alongside Windows and macOS PCs, iOS and Android mobile devices, and Steam. Upgrades also include two remappable rear buttons, swappable thumbstick caps, and Hall-effect linear triggers that toggle into micro-switches for shorter travel distances and faster response.
Furthermore, GuliKit includes a Hyperlink 2 Bluetooth adapter bundled in the box to ensure lower latency during wireless play, alongside introducing the company's very first mobile companion application for customization and firmware updates.
