The Department of Local Administration (DLA) under the Ministry of Interior issued an official press release on August 11, 2026, detailing the establishment of a petition center for candidates who did not appear on the list of successful examinees. This follows announcements by the Chairman of the Central Committee for Local Government Personnel Examination regarding the cancellation and establishment of eligible candidate lists for the 2028 local government civil service and employee recruitment examination, including separate announcements for southern groups Region 1 and Region 2 dated August 7, 2026.
To ensure fairness and transparency for all examinees who were omitted from the published lists, the DLA has set up a petition center at the Suwatana Building, 1st Floor, DLA headquarters. In addition, candidates can submit their petitions at any Provincial Local Administration Office across the country. The submission period is scheduled from August 13 to August 31, 2026, operating from 08:30 to 16:30 hours on official government working days.

The establishment of this petition center represents a critical step in maintaining transparency and accountability in local government recruitment processes in Thailand. By allowing candidates to review their examination scores, the authority provides a formal recourse mechanism that helps address candidate grievances and reinforces trust in the civil service examination system.
Regarding the requirements and procedures for requesting score reviews, the DLA has outlined strict guidelines that applicants must follow:
- Candidates must submit the petition in person
- A copy of the applicant's national identity card must be attached
- If unable to apply in person, a formal letter of authorization must be provided
- Proxy applications require copies of ID cards from both the principal and the authorized representative
