Thongsak Sawadsikomol, Deputy Superintendent of Investigation at Thung Yai Police Station, has formally lodged a criminal complaint for physical assault against him.
The dispute took place at approximately 11:30 PM at Ban Hua Khuan, Moo 2, Subdistrict Porik, Thung Yai District, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The victim and relatives had attended funeral prayers for the mother of the Porik Subdistrict Municipality Mayor. Following the religious ceremony, an argument erupted while sitting near Member of Parliament Chaichana Dechdecho, eventually escalating into physical violence.

Region 8 Police have deployed Pol. Maj. Gen. Pornchai Khajornklin, Deputy Commander of Region 8 and Acting Commander of Nakhon Si Thammarat, alongside investigative teams to gather evidence and interview eyewitnesses at the scene. Investigators are scheduled to summon all present witnesses, alongside Mr. Chaichana Dechdecho, who also serves as Deputy Leader of the Democrat Party, to provide their statements.
