Bridging the gap between administrative officials and local police through a unified One Data system represents a major shift in tackling regional security challenges. Historically, siloed operations often hindered intelligence sharing and rapid response capabilities, making this 90-day implementation window a crucial test for measurable public safety improvements.
Addressing the pressing issue of firearms, the Prime Minister revealed that Thailand currently harbors over 10 million guns. This equates to roughly one firearm for every 6 to 7 citizens, or 3 to 4 citizens if children and the elderly are excluded, creating a volatile environment reminiscent of the Wild West. Consequently, the Department of Provincial Administration has suspended the issuance of Por 3 firearms acquisition licenses, while Por 12 permits have remained unavailable for the past three years.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister issued a strong warning to law enforcement personnel regarding potential political interference or individuals falsely invoking his nickname to influence official duties.
