The retro-pop music scene is gearing up for the arrival of Sydney-born artist Matthew Ifield, whose velvety vocals and unique blend of jazz, soul, and classic pop have captured the hearts of modern listeners worldwide.
Ifield began building his online audience in 2020 by sharing covers and original tracks. His musical journey eventually led him to tour alongside grentperez in Australia before releasing his own singles such as "Just Say The Words" and "Ready For Love," as well as collaborating with Thai artist Kasidate Kulpong (Gump) from HYBS on the track "Sup."
His global breakthrough came with "I Think They Call This Love," a romantic old-school pop track defined by warm melodies and nostalgic charm. Having previously performed in Thailand at the PELUPO Festival, Ifield has cultivated a strong following across Southeast Asia.
Choosing Bangkok as a key stop for his solo tour highlights the expanding market for independent international pop acts in Thailand, where audiences increasingly embrace soulful, vintage-inspired aesthetics and intimate live performances.
