On August 18, at Crown Towers in Sydney, Australia, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul gave an interview following an informal discussion with Australian business operators attending the Thailand–Australia Investment and Business Partnership Reception, organized by the Thailand Board of Investment. He noted that major Australian corporations continue establishing and expanding production bases in Thailand, driven by the country's political stability, security, and logistics readiness.
The Prime Minister revealed that foreign investors maintain strong confidence in Thailand's stability and potential, ranking the country as their primary investment destination. A key factor cited is the BOI's Thailand Fast Pass policy, which acts as a central hub to resolve investor bottlenecks seamlessly and expedite administrative processes without encountering negative feedback.
Total investment reached 60,000 million Australian dollars, or approximately 1.4 trillion baht, during the first half of the year. Furthermore, Australian technology has effectively integrated and supported domestic supply chains within Thailand, reflecting the nation's readiness to serve as a regional economic hub.

During the visit, the Australian Ambassador informed the Thai delegation of a high demand for jet fuel in Australia. Since Thailand holds excess jet fuel reserves resulting from high diesel production volumes, the Thai government is fully prepared to consider relaxing regulatory frameworks to export jet fuel, thereby boosting export revenues for the country.
The negotiations regarding jet fuel exports and skilled labor highlight Thailand's strategy to deepen bilateral economic ties beyond traditional industrial manufacturing into resource and human capital exchanges. This approach aims to foster trade balance and alleviate regulatory bottlenecks between the two nations over the long term.
The Prime Minister also confirmed that discussions will address expanding employment opportunities for Thai workers in Australia, as current work visas have become too short. Following a visit to Thai Town where he observed growing Thai restaurant businesses facing chef shortages, the government aims to assure Australian officials that modern Thai workers possess high professional expertise and operate strictly within legal frameworks, creating a genuine Win-Win Situation.
