While they may not always occupy the spotlight as leading stars, their dedication and craft over more than 60 years provide the essential depth and emotional foundation that make stories resonate with audiences through different eras.
During his later years, Vicit faced continuous health battles. In 2019, he suffered from heart disease and underwent heart valve replacement surgery at Rajavithi Hospital. By 2026, his health deteriorated further due to a combination of severe medical conditions, including a leaking heart valve, failing coronary stents, and kidney disease, resulting in significant medical expenses that prompted assistance from the Thai Actors Welfare Foundation earlier in April.
Before his final moments, his wife visited Wat Makok to make merit offerings under the name Khomkrit Yuttiyong, praying that the good deeds would serve as a guiding light for her husband. Shortly afterward, she received the devastating phone call from the hospital regarding his passing. Funeral arrangements are set to be announced by the family in due course.
