The standout star of the lineup is the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max, which houses a massive silicon-carbon battery with a 10,000mAh capacity. Xiaomi highlights this as the largest battery ever packed into a Redmi Note smartphone. The device supports 100W wired HyperCharge technology and is certified to retain over 80 percent of its capacity even after 1,600 charging cycles.
For visual performance, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max features a 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The adoption of silicon-carbon battery technology in upper-mid-range smartphones marks a significant industry milestone, allowing manufacturers to drastically increase energy density within a slim chassis. Furthermore, incorporating IP69K water and dust resistance—a standard typically reserved for rugged industrial gear—into a mainstream consumer lineup offers enhanced protection against high-pressure water jets and hot steam.
Durability is another major selling point for the device, which is certified to withstand drop impacts from heights of up to 3 meters. It also boasts comprehensive environmental protection covering IP66, IP68, IP69, and the rigorous IP69K ratings, ensuring resistance against high-pressure water and hot steam exposure.
In the photography department, the Xiaomi REDMI Note 17 Pro Max is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor equipped with OIS image stabilization, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. Meanwhile, selfie enthusiasts will find a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. All of this hardware runs on Android 16, topped with Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 interface.
