On August 21, 2026, in Mae Ai district, Chiang Mai province, Natthapong Ruengpanyawut, list-MP, leader of the People's Party, and opposition leader in the House of Representatives, gave an interview regarding preparations for a no-confidence debate, stating that he is waiting to consult with opposition coalition parties first and has not yet disclosed a timeline to maintain political courtesy.
Addressing potential ideological differences within the opposition camp, Natthapong stated that any party outside the government coalition is open for discussion, depending on their willingness to participate in the no-confidence debate, confirming that formal invitations will be extended to all non-government parties.
