Jeab Chernyim Reveals Ray MacDonald Asked Him to Look After Shahkrit

Following the sudden and shocking passing of renowned actor Ray MacDonald, Thai comedian Jeab Chernyim, who spent consecutive days paying his respects and comforting the family, opened up about their two-decade-long bond originating from their early television days together.

Jeab Chernyim shared that he was already close with Shahkrit Yamnam, and Ray MacDonald was part of their tight-knit circle of friends, acting practically like family. They frequently traveled together on trips and merit-making journeys—such as visits to Chanthaburi—alongside other close companions like Phut, Ta, and Pele Christopher whenever they had free time.

Describing Ray's professional work ethic, Jeab noted that Ray was extremely dedicated and always packed with boundless energy. Jeab once wondered why someone so talented never acted in television dramas. Upon asking Shahkrit, he learned that Ray had a short-term memory which made series challenging, though he performed remarkably well in feature films with exceptional acting skills. Jeab also hailed Ray as a true 90s icon, naturally cool and charismatic without needing any artificial persona.

The veteran comedian recalled fond memories of Ray's cheerful nature, noting that Ray always brought humor and playful jokes to the group. Most notably, Ray would often make a special request regarding his closest confidant.

"Every time we met, he would always tell me, please take care of Krit for me."

Jeab explained that Ray's deep concern for Shahkrit stemmed from health worries, as Shahkrit tended to push his body hard and got less rest. In contrast, Ray maintained disciplined living habits, avoided drinking, did not party, and constantly reminded those around him to look after their well-being, even though Ray himself was never seen falling ill or visiting a hospital.

Regarding Shahkrit's emotional state during this difficult time, Jeab expressed deep concern, noting that his close friend has been constantly in tears. Jeab and other peers have made it a point to stay close by, ensuring Shahkrit always has a friend to lean on.
