The competition for Miss Universe Thailand 2026 reached an intense climax during the preliminary round, where pageant president and CEO of Miss Universe Eastern, Boss Nawat Itsaragrisil, issued a clear warning that front-runners could easily stumble if supporters hold back on voting, emphasizing that every single point in this final stretch matters significantly.
The atmosphere inside MGI Hall on the 6th floor of Bravo BKK shopping center on Rama 9 Road was packed with enthusiastic pageant fans, provincial directors, fandoms, and supporters cheering right by the stage. Meanwhile, fans watching from home tuned in via the YouTube channel Grand TV with great excitement.
The event kicked off with three former beauty queens—Veena Praveenar Singh, Praewwanich Ruangthong, and Ploy Amandine Glicart—hosting the evening before the stage opened for all 77 contestants to shine in swimsuits by MGI Swimwear, being judged one by one on their stage performance, followed by stunning evening gowns where everyone displayed their confidence, character, and queenly aura.
"Don't be complacent! Front-runners can stumble! If you can vote, cast your votes now."

The judging panel for this round was exceptionally strict, featuring Cherreem Chayathnus Saratutt, Dr. Jeab Lalana Kongtoranin, Fahsai Paweensuda Drouin, Ms. Vanessa Pulgarin, Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang, Charm Osathanond, and Pla Parapassorn. The scoring criteria are divided into 70% from the judges and 30% from public voting, utilizing the K Score System to find a baseline average before combining with the final round.

Combining professional judges' scores with public popular voting is a standard strategy in modern international pageantry. This approach fosters massive public engagement while maintaining rigorous performance standards evaluated by industry experts, ensuring a balanced outcome between popular appeal and true stage capability.
To advance in the competition, the top 18 contestants with the highest scores will secure a spot in the top 20, while the remaining 2 spots will be awarded through special prizes: the Best Seller Award and Thailand's Choice Award. Today also marked the announcement of the top 3 highest-scoring contestants, namely MUT Phuket, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen. Supporters can continue casting votes via the official website.
The final countdown is heating up every second. Find out who will claim the Miss Universe Thailand 2026 crown on coronation night, Sunday, August 23, at 7:00 PM at MGI Hall, Bravo BKK, Rama 9 Road.
