The transfer window has seen massive movement as Chelsea set a record by shelling out a hefty £117 million to secure midfielder Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, making him the most expensive English nationality player in football history. In that very same week, Chelsea also agreed to let Alejandro Garnacho make a swap move to Aston Villa on a loan with an obligation to buy in the future.

A question many football fans are wondering is where Chelsea got such a massive amount of money amid financial regulatory constraints, and why Aston Villa chose a loan-with-option-to-buy approach instead of an immediate permanent transfer.
