The People's Party is preparing a major political move by planning to submit a petition to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to investigate the performance of individual members of the Election Commission (EC). The party is strongly demanding that the EC clearly categorize the 1,767 individuals facing legal proceedings to specify exactly how many are currently active Senators and how many are reserve Senators, ensuring proper legal action and the retrieval of state benefits if wrongdoing is proven.

Regarding individuals accused of involvement in Senate collusion, such as Senator Pisit Apiwattanapong, Phanthil noted that the accused have every right to defend themselves. However, if any allegations are untrue, they should issue clear point-by-point public clarifications. He also praised the event on April 8, 2025, when Pisit was among 13 Senators who withdrew from the committee vetting NACC nominees to prevent conflict of interest concerns, stating that it was the right thing to do and that the same principle of transparency should apply to current allegations.

Furthermore, Phanthil expressed concern over existing legal loopholes, pointing out that criminal charges submitted to the Supreme Court do not automatically require active Senators to suspend their duties, which effectively acts as a tactic to buy time. He proposed critical legislative
- amendments allowing citizens to directly file petitions
- against improper official conduct
- allowing committees to submit petitions to the Supreme Court
- requiring accused Senators to immediately suspend duties upon the court accepting the case
This political push regarding Senate investigations and independent regulatory bodies highlights ongoing efforts to enforce transparency and accountability within the democratic system. Demanding disaggregated data and advocating for stricter legal consequences reflect broader public concerns over legislative integrity and the enforcement of ethical standards for high-ranking public officials.
