Regional governor Tymur Tkachenko provided further details, stating that an additional 42 individuals, including four children, sustained injuries from the drone strike. Emergency crews and search and rescue teams were deployed to the site early on Saturday to comb through the wreckage for survivors.

Tkachenko also reported a separate strike in the Boryspil district which claimed the life of a 14-year-old. Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his condolences to the victims' families, noting that over 300 emergency respondents had been dispatched to handle the aftermath.
"The regulations are clear: ammunition must not be stored near houses or other residential buildings. Appropriate conclusions will certainly be drawn."

Writing on X, President Zelensky confirmed that an investigation into potential negligence has been initiated regarding whether ammunition was stored improperly near residential areas. He also highlighted additional overnight strikes across the Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The targeting of logistics centers and warehouses underscores the broader wartime strategy of dismantling supply chains and economic infrastructure. Beyond the military implications, such incidents heighten the risks to civilian populations living adjacent to commercial facilities, turning standard supply hubs into critical safety flashpoints.
Across the border, Russian local officials reported two fatalities and 21 injuries resulting from strikes in the Belgorod and Rostov regions over a 24-hour period. Concurrently, the Ukrainian military announced that its air defenses successfully intercepted and shot down 233 Russian unmanned aerial vehicles overnight into Saturday.
