On August 29, 2026, at the meeting room of the Bang Rak Phatthana Municipality in Nonthaburi province, key political figures from the People's Party and the Progressive Movement held a gathering with local members to discuss the significance of the upcoming Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) presidential election scheduled for September 20.
The field visit was led by Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, list MP and leader of the People's Party, alongside Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, chairman of the Progressive Movement, and Decharat Sukgamnerd, the People's Party candidate for Nonthaburi PAO president, who all engaged directly with local supporters.
During the session, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit asked Nonthaburi residents to give the People's Party an opportunity by electing Decharat to lead the local administration. He also called on citizens to demonstrate their civic duty by turning out in force for the September 20 election, aiming for a voter turnout rate exceeding 60 percent.

Local elections such as those for Provincial Administrative Organizations (PAOs) are vital pillars of decentralization, directly impacting grassroots budget allocation and public service delivery. Meanwhile, Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut expressed gratitude to the people of Nonthaburi for their steadfast support of the orange party since its predecessor, the Move Forward Party, sweeping all MP seats in the province across two consecutive general elections, in addition to winning local mayoral posts.
Addressing political speculation, the People's Party leader firmly dismissed claims that the party's campaign is driven by a quest to politically conquer Nonthaburi, emphasizing instead that the primary focus remains on securing a prosperous and better future for all residents in the province.
