Suan Dusit Poll 2026: Thai Political Index Drops to 3.63

Suan Dusit Poll of Suan Dusit University released a nationwide public opinion survey regarding the Thai Political Index for August 2026, conducted among 2,107 respondents across online and field channels between August 25-28, 2026. The results show that the overall political index for August averaged 3.63 points, declining from the 3.71 points recorded in July 2026.

A closer look at individual performance indicators reveals clear variations in public satisfaction. The indicator that achieved the highest score this month was the performance of the opposition, capturing an average of 4.28 points and reflecting public approval of their oversight duties.

Conversely, the indicator receiving the lowest satisfaction score in this survey was the crackdown on drugs and influential figures, averaging only 3.00 points. This highlights ongoing public demand for more decisive measures and tangible results from relevant authorities.

Aside from overall scores, the survey also identified key political figures who stood out in the public eye. Anutin Charnvirakul received the highest recognition among male politicians, while Rukchanok Srinork stood out among female politicians. Additionally, a large number of citizens expressed favor toward the Thai Chuay Thai Plus initiative.
