When asked about the controversy, Mr. Anutin shook his head and asserted that such welcoming signs were never his intention and fundamentally should not be produced at all.
"It serves no purpose. Once it's over, are they going to make bags out of it or have it turn into a doormat? That would be a huge mess. This shouldn't be done. Everyone already recognizes my face wherever I walk now."
