Dr. Rutairat Poratpakorn, Country Manager of Workday Thailand, highlighted that workforce management challenges have fundamentally shifted, making the 'Skills-First Organization' concept the driving force behind Workday's partnership with Fusion Solution, a Thai enterprise solution provider, to expand the human capital management market in Thailand.

This collaboration enables Fusion Solution to offer Workday's solutions as a core product, covering end-to-end implementation and post-launch support, spearheaded by Mr. Thanatorn Choachatpong, Head of HR Technology at Fusion Solution. Workday itself was founded in 2005 by former PeopleSoft executives Dave Duffield and Aneel Bhusri, with Bhusri returning as CEO in February 2026. Meanwhile, Fusion Solution has operated for around 20 years, starting in software development and Microsoft products before building deep HR expertise and partnering with Workday this year.

Transitioning into a Skills-First model marks a critical milestone for Thai enterprises. Traditional performance frameworks often restrict employee potential strictly to job descriptions, whereas modern skills inventory technology helps unlock hidden talents to align with evolving AI capabilities.

Dr. Rutairat noted that the workplace landscape has evolved past the post-pandemic Great Resignation into an era where organizations emphasize collaboration and AI integration. Key priorities now center on talent, decision agility, and skills, leveraging tools like Workday Skills Cloud to maintain a real-time skills inventory and drive an internal talent economy for new initiatives such as AI projects.

Conversely, traditional approaches often fail due to resource constraints, such as conducting annual Performance Reviews. Dr. Rutairat recommended increasing review frequencies to quarterly evaluations alongside weekly Employee Voice pulse surveys to detect team anomalies and align individual execution with corporate vision.

Furthermore, Workday introduced the Agent System of Record this year to act as a governance layer for managing corporate AI agents. This framework provides visibility over chatbot deployment, access permissions, and data security, preventing redundant development work and mitigating security risks across departments.
