At 7:00 AM on July 28, 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presided over a religious chanting and almsgiving ceremony dedicated to His Majesty the King on the occasion of his birthday anniversary at Sanam Luang.
The solemn event was attended by high-ranking dignitaries including Privy Councillors and their spouses, the President of the Parliament, the President of the Supreme Court, the President of the Senate, heads of constitutional organizations, the Cabinet, the Bangkok Governor, military and police chiefs, and representatives from the private sector.
Upon arrival, ten senior monks took their seats as the Prime Minister paid respects to the Triple Gem and the King's portrait. After receiving precepts and chanting, the Prime Minister and other key figures presented monastic robes and offerings to the ten monks before leading the assembly in offering alms to 175 monks.
