Thai actor Tack Pharunyoo has recently spoken out about his decision to completely avoid a specific temple following the passing of Luang Pu Huan. During a phone interview on the popular talk show Hon Krasae, hosted by Num Kanchai, the actor elaborated on the reasons behind his social media post regarding the controversial temple.
Tack revealed that the temple has been divided into distinct factions for a long time—the camp of Luang Pu Huan, which focused on community development and assistance, and the opposing camp led by Chot, which was associated with amulets, superstitious practices, and financial matters. He stated that he decided never to set foot in the temple again after Luang Pu Huan passed away.
Internal conflicts and factionalism within religious sites following the loss of a respected abbot often highlight governance issues that require official oversight. Ensuring transparency and public safety in temples remains a crucial concern for local communities.
When asked about specific incidents, Tack urged authorities to investigate the temple aides and local youths who allegedly walk around acting like mafia figures. He added that they keep over ten aggressive Bangkaew dogs that bite visitors, alongside suspicious minivans entering the premises during late hours.
