Tottenham Hotspur's Brazilian striker Richarlison sparked fresh attention on social media after sharing a screenshot regarding his omission from the squad to face Liverpool, accompanied by the message "Why?" and a tearful sad-faced emoji.
The 29-year-old's future in north London has grown increasingly uncertain after a proposed transfer to Brazilian side Vasco da Gama collapsed last week because personal terms were not finalized before the Brazilian transfer window closed on Friday, despite clubs agreeing on a fee.

Prior to that, a proposed 35 million pound deadline-day move to Everton also fell through when the forward failed to agree personal terms with the Toffees. Consequently, he was left out of Spurs' Premier League squad amid an ongoing dispute over the final nine months of his contract.
Sources indicate that Richarlison is exploring his options and is keen to secure a release from the remainder of his deal, which expires next summer, although Tottenham retain an option to trigger a 12-month extension.
