Thaivivat Insurance Public Company Limited has hosted the 'Thaivivat Next Move: Driving the Future of Motor Insurance' event to mark its 75th anniversary, alongside launching TVI Crash Detection, an automated accident detection system designed to handle critical moments immediately following a crash.
In real-world traffic accidents, drivers often experience shock, physical injuries that restrict movement, or forget emergency contact numbers and their exact locations. Traditional insurance models typically require customers to manually call in to report an incident, which can occasionally delay critical response times.
Mr. Theaphan Asavahame, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Thaivivat Insurance, highlighted these limitations, noting that expecting distressed individuals to search through policy details or describe precise accident locations during fractions of a second is extremely difficult when emergency assistance is most urgently needed.
The TVI Crash Detection system was engineered using a Zero-Hardware concept, eliminating the need for users to install external IoT devices or hardware boxes inside their vehicles. Instead, it utilizes existing smartphone sensors and automated data processing to transmit emergency details directly to the operations center via a Direct-to-Operation workflow.

Operating directly within the existing Thaivivat mobile application for both iOS and Android, the system executes five key steps: detecting impacts via smartphone sensors, pushing an instant screen alert, allowing users to confirm the emergency with a single tap without manual typing, automatically transmitting GPS location data to the operations center, and dispatching real-time assistance with live tracking.
