Chompoo Araya A. Hargate has opened up about her son Se-ya finishing in 4th place at a recent go-kart racing event, noting that the young boy looked somewhat downcast after facing mechanical issues during the qualifying rounds, though she continuously encouraged him to keep pushing until the end.
The celebrity mother admitted that as a parent, she absorbs her children's feelings and feels a sense of sympathy during their disappointments. However, she views it as a valuable lesson that sports come with various unpredictable factors, and children must learn to accept outcomes despite their hard work and discipline.
Experiencing early defeat helps children develop emotional regulation and psychological resilience. When parents validate these feelings without overprotecting, it teaches kids how to process setbacks constructively and bounce back.

What surprised Chompoo the most was how fast children can move on compared to adults. Shortly after feeling disappointed, Se-ya quickly returned to playing with his friends, while the whole family, including both grandmothers, was present at the track to show their support.
"Definitely, disappointment exists, but kids move on so fast. I was really surprised by that; kids move on much faster than adults."

Aside from the racing updates, Chompoo responded to fans connecting the race placement numbers to lottery wins, laughing off the coincidence by noting that numbers only range from 0 to 9 and anyone can link them together. She also shared amusing anecdotes about setting up a pop-up som tum (papaya salad) stall at the track to feed her team and supporters who woke up as early as 3 AM.
Finally, Chompoo touched upon attending the memorial gathering for her close friend Amy Morakot following a family bereavement. Drawing from her own experience of losing a parent, she shared words of comfort and advised her friend to give herself time to grieve before healing naturally.
