World darts champion Luke Littler has issued a warning that he could stop competing in the Netherlands after being subjected to booing and whistling during the World Series of Darts Finals held in Amsterdam.
The hostile atmosphere escalated during his hard-fought victory against Nathan Aspinall in the quarter-finals on Saturday. The situation grew so tense that the referee had to temporarily halt the match to issue a warning to the unruly crowd regarding their conduct before play was allowed to resume.

This incident followed a similar hostile reception on Friday, when Littler was also booed during his match against Dutch home favourite Danny Noppert. Littler has previously encountered comparable treatment from crowds in Germany, which led him to stop playing in European Tour events across the country.
Professional darts is traditionally known for its lively, pub-like atmosphere and enthusiastic fan engagement, but deliberate booing and whistling while a player is aiming crosses the line into unsportsmanlike conduct. Prior to these incidents, Littler was also booed during his victory over Rob Cross at the PDC World Championship back in December, highlighting a recurring pattern of crowd pressure he has faced throughout major tournaments.
