At the end of September, film director Luca Guadagnino and designer Stefano Baisi are set to release a collaborative line with Zara Home featuring nearly 200 sumptuous interior decor pieces. The collection ranges from squiggly couches reminiscent of Italian Radical Design to tableware that feels as though it was lifted straight from an Italian villa.
Through this collection, fans have the opportunity to bring the energetic aesthetic of films like Queer, Call Me by Your Name, and Challengers directly into their domestic spaces. This intersection of interior design and cinema is far from new, as the visually seductive worlds crafted by David Lynch, Wes Anderson, and Wong Kar Wai have continually inspired hotels, home goods collections, and even train carriages.

Fondazione Prada also created a counterpart space for Hong Kong director Wong Kar Wai through the fine dining venue Mi Shang Prada Rong Zhai. Wong has long mesmerized audiences with rich neon imagery, evoking the romantic intimacy of In the Mood for Love or the luxurious lights of Blossoms Shanghai. Pedro Almodóvar has similarly ventured into furniture with a dedicated collection for Roche Bobois.
