Prada Galleria Opens 8-Floor Space in Milan

Developed under the direction of Miuccia Prada, the Prada Galleria complex opened its doors on September 23 at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, Italy. Rather than freezing a century of the brand's history inside a conventional museum, the multi-story destination frames the house's identity through encounters with architecture, art, cinema, and culture, creating a vertical self-portrait where retail is only one part of the journey.

At ground level and below, the original Prada Donna store has expanded underground, nearly doubling its display space to house womenswear, travel, home, and beauty collections alongside historic murals. Diagonally opposite, Prada Uomo connects to this underground network, physically bridging the two boutiques beneath one of Milan's most familiar indoor public spaces.

Moving up to the second floor, the atmosphere shifts to a private registry known as Studio, arranged as intimate rooms for personalized shopping by appointment. Above that, Appartamento imagines an 18th-century domestic interior furnished with antique Italian pieces and contemporary photography, featuring large-scale works curated by Andreas Gursky overlooking the monumental mosaics of the Galleria.
