vivo has officially introduced its flagship smartphone lineup, the X500 Series, at an event in Shanghai, China. The series places a strong emphasis on professional photography and videography developed in partnership with ZEISS, targeting common mobile video issues such as shaky footage and improper facial brightness.
The top-tier vivo X500 Pro Max features a 50-megapixel ZEISS TrueDynamic main camera utilizing a new 1/1.28-inch Sony LYTIA L910 sensor with an f/1.57 aperture and a 3-degree gimbal stabilization system. It incorporates LOFIC technology to manage overexposed light and broaden dynamic range for both photos and videos.

Additionally, the ZEISS APO telephoto camera employs a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP0 sensor, while the ultra-wide camera features a 50-megapixel JN5 sensor. The device supports 4K 240fps slow-motion recording without frame interpolation and includes Stage Mode 3.0 designed for concert environments.
"This sensor uses LOFIC technology, adding a storage node next to each pixel to handle excess light that would normally clip bright areas into pure white."

Under the hood, the vivo X500 Pro Max and X500 Pro are among the first smartphones powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, built on TSMC's 2-nanometer process node. The device sports a 6.85-inch 2K BOE Q11 display with a 1-144Hz refresh rate and a peak local brightness of 4,400 nits.
The transition to a 2-nanometer manufacturing process in mobile chipsets marks a significant milestone in the semiconductor industry, delivering improved computing efficiency alongside lower power consumption. Combined with advanced image sensors and partnerships with brands like ZEISS and BOE, this launch highlights a clear industry shift toward serving mobile content creators and advanced videography users.
Regarding regional availability, the vivo X500 Pro Max launching in Thailand comes with a 7,800 mAh battery compared to the 8,000 mAh Chinese variant, supporting 90W wired and 40W wireless charging with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, running OriginOS 7. The smaller X500 Pro features a 6.36-inch display, while the standard vivo X500 uses a Dimensity 9600M chip and a 7,500 mAh battery. Official pricing and release dates for Thailand will be announced later by vivo Thailand.
