Studio Louis Morgan, in collaboration with interior architect Louis Aspar, has completed SOBO, an 80-square-meter plant-based restaurant and listening space located in Paris, France. Conceived as a multisensory hospitality experience, the project brings together interior architecture, food, music, materiality, and acoustic design into a unified spatial concept.
Drawing inspiration from the intimate atmosphere of Japanese ryokans and listening cafes, the design team developed a warm interior defined by mahogany-toned oak paneling, bespoke joinery, vintage furniture, and carefully controlled lighting. This material palette creates an environment that balances contemporary design with timeless warmth for dining and listening.

Sound was treated as an architectural material rather than a purely technical element within the space. Custom audio equipment and plant-fiber acoustic ceiling panels contribute directly to the acoustic comfort of the restaurant while establishing an environment dedicated to vinyl listening experiences.
