At 09:40 on September 22, 2026, at Government House, Mr. Pharadorn Pattanatankul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Bhumjaithai Party MP for Ang Thong, addressed recent political developments regarding reports that the Klatham Party was excluded from the opposition whip meeting.
Mr. Pharadorn stated that he saw news reports about the opposition whip meeting held on September 20, but he has not yet consulted Mr. Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, spokesperson for the Klatham Party, adding that he prefers not to interfere in the matter.

Regarding the status of non-government parties, Mr. Pharadorn emphasized the principle that any party not joining the coalition automatically becomes part of the opposition since no formal coalition agreement was made with them. He questioned by what right the opposition could strip another party of its opposition status.
"To strip someone of their opposition status, by what right do they do so? Any voting that differs from the opposition whip is the prerogative of individual MPs."

The Minister explained regarding parliamentary voting patterns that the Klatham Party has occasionally voted against the government, abstained, or voted in alignment with the coalition depending on the specific agenda, noting that this is the independent right of each individual member.
This political friction highlights the delicate dynamics among opposition factions and the ruling coalition. When smaller parties exhibit shifting voting behaviors, it directly impacts legislative stability and parliamentary time allocation. Such allocations must strictly adhere to proportional representation for all members of parliament rather than serving any single faction.
When asked whether the leader of the Klatham Party had already held discussions with the Bhumjaithai Party, Mr. Pharadorn replied that he had no knowledge of such talks. Concerning future debate time and allocation ratios, he concluded that it must follow the proportional representation of all members across the entire parliament.
