The Thai amulet community continues to closely examine the revered Wat Rakhang Phim Yai Somdej amulets. An anonymous expert has categorized the primary mold into four distinct sub-molds: the Principal Buddha mold, V-Chest mold, Cylinder Chest mold, and Crown-Piercing-Arch mold, each featuring iconic master amulets recognized by collectors.
The first sub-mold, known as the Principal Buddha mold, is characterized by clear base-sub-seat lines and includes the most replicated and famous masterpiece, the "Seiadom" amulet. The second sub-mold features a V-shaped torso and tapered waist, represented by the Khun Sri and Kru Uea masterpieces. The third mold presents a cylindrical torso with outward-flaring lower waist lines, featuring the rare Ket Sabat amulet. Finally, the fourth mold showcases a crown piercing through the upper arch, famously represented by the Luang Phut amulet.

Statistical distribution shows that the second sub-mold is the most commonly discovered, followed by the fourth mold, while the first and third molds are extremely rare. The first mold exhibits a robust and muscular Buddha stance closely resembling the principal Buddha statue inside Wat Rakhang Kositaram's ordination hall, which blends early Rattanakosin and Uthong artistic styles with subtle Sukhothai influences.
Analyzing the artistic craftsmanship of Wat Rakhang Somdej amulets highlights traditional ten-craft artisan techniques using tools like chisels on soapstone molds. This blending of Uthong, Sukhothai, and early Rattanakosin art styles serves as an essential benchmark for collectors to accurately evaluate authenticity and historical periods.
Sika Ang, a senior columnist for Thairath Newspaper, previously praised the exceptional beauty of the Seiadom amulet in his column, noting its status among the top five most flawlessly preserved Wat Rakhang Phim Yai amulets in existence.
"Comparing overall perfection and beauty, experts consider this Somdej amulet to be one of the top five most impeccably preserved Wat Rakhang amulets, with no other piece able to surpass it."
