On September 23, 2026, at the Peach Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall in Chonburi province, Mr. Yossanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), together with Permanent Secretary Suphachai Pathumnakul and Secretary Chatrin Chanthorm, disclosed the results of a joint meeting with executives of Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Uthen Thawai Campus. The meeting focused on establishing administrative measures for teaching management and a transition plan for study locations.
Mr. Yossanan stated that to address limitations faced by students studying theory online—such as poor internet signals or unfavorable dormitory environments—the university president has prepared the large conference room at the Chakkraphong Phuvanat Campus to welcome students starting the very next day. Deans were assigned to communicate with students and encourage them to utilize the space for more effective communication between instructors and learners.

Managing temporary relocations and alternative learning spaces for historic educational institutions located in congested urban areas like Uthen Thawai presents a complex challenge for MHESI. Utilizing network campuses and planning medium-term rental spaces reflect efforts to maintain educational continuity while addressing student concerns and logistical hurdles.
For short-term practical learning and laboratory sessions, MHESI has scheduled a meeting with executives of all RMUT campuses in Bangkok to coordinate curriculum details, allowing Uthen Thawai students to utilize laboratory facilities at network campuses immediately. Furthermore, students are permitted to request study location transfers alongside financial support packages designated to cover dormitory moving expenses for both students and faculty members.
Regarding the medium-term plan, Mr. Yossanan noted that the ministry is preparing to survey the Ministry of Labour building located near industrial estates to be rented out as a venue for conducting classes within the designated timeframe, marking another step toward long-term resolutions for all affected parties.
