Manchester United has surprised fans by offering genuine pieces of the Old Trafford pitch for sale at £125 per piece, with the initial batch selling out almost immediately. During the summer, the Old Trafford pitch was dug up and stripped back to its foundation for the first time in 14 years. Preserved sections of the turf were cut into 7x7cm squares and carefully encased inside glass cubes, which are presented within a sleek black case for supporters.
