Yossanan Wongsawat, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), together with senior executives, visited Samut Prakan province on September 24, 2026. The inspection aimed to evaluate the readiness of local facilities to serve as a temporary learning center for students from Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok, Uthen Thawai Campus, focusing particularly on workshops and laboratories at the Skill Development Institute 1.
Following the site tour, the Minister addressed the direction of resolving chronic disputes surrounding the institution. He emphasized that utilizing this location as a temporary home would help reset conflicts and lay a solid foundation for an improved educational atmosphere. Assessments conducted alongside the Ministry of Labour indicated high satisfaction regarding the infrastructure required for vocational and engineering disciplines.

"From today's inspection, what we see is the readiness of the infrastructure. There are large workshops, machinery, and well-equipped technical laboratories that align with Uthen Thawai's hands-on learning nature. Using this space as a temporary study location will allow students to resume their practical training almost immediately without any drop in academic standards and quality."

Furthermore, the MHESI Minister expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Labour for their full cooperation and hospitality. This collaboration underscores inter-agency efforts by the government to tackle urgent educational hurdles, ensuring that students can continue their academic pursuits seamlessly within an environment furnished with appropriate tools and modern equipment.
Addressing Uthen Thawai's campus location issue has long been a complex challenge for authorities.
