Chelsea have officially been charged by the Football Association following allegations of improper and discriminatory behaviour by fans during their Premier League away victory against Fulham earlier in the season.
The incident occurred during the 3-2 win at Craven Cottage on August 24. Following the match, Chelsea wrote to their supporters acknowledging that they had received multiple reports regarding sectarian chanting originating from a small portion of the visiting fans.

An official statement released by an FA spokesperson detailed that Chelsea FC has been charged with breaching FA Rule E21 during the ninth minute of their Premier League fixture against Fulham FC, noting that the club allegedly failed to ensure spectators and supporters refrained from improper, offensive, or abusive conduct.
The Stamford Bridge club has previously taken firm stances against similar misconduct. Back in 2021, the Blues strongly condemned the actions of an individual supporter who directed sectarian abuse via social media toward Aston Villa's Scottish international midfielder John McGinn.
